Assistant Principal

I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at University Place Elementary, where I am committed to creating a school culture in which every student feels valued, supported, challenged, and inspired to lead. With 29 years in education, I bring experience as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, and instructional leader to my work with students, families, and staff.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about literacy, student achievement, instructional excellence, and building meaningful relationships. My experiences in elementary education have shaped my belief that students thrive when they are actively engaged in their learning, encouraged to take ownership, and given opportunities to discover their strengths.

As an assistant principal, I will work alongside teachers and families to support student growth, strengthen instruction, and foster a positive and purposeful school environment. I am especially passionate about developing student leaders and helping children understand that leadership is demonstrated through everyday choices, showing responsibility, respect, kindness, courage, and perseverance.

I am proud to be part of the University Place Elementary community and to help lead our Falcon Leaders as we Grow Tomorrow’s Leaders Today. I believe that when students are encouraged to show up, take risks, work together, and believe in what is possible, there truly are no limits to what they can accomplish.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve our students, support our teachers, and partner with our families. Every day, I am reminded of the incredible potential within our school community, and I am excited to continue helping our Falcon Leaders show up, soar, and move from good to GREAT! ❤️🖤🦅
